CHARLES G. SHERMETARO, O.D.

Dr. Shermetaro is a 1984 graduate from The Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University and has been serving the Detroit Metropolitan area for over 25 years.

He has been trained in all aspects of eye care from pediatric to geriatric. He has had extensive training in the medical aspects of eye care including eye infections, foreign body removal, diabetic eye care, glaucoma, cataracts, and Lasik Co-Management to name a few. He also fits all types of contact lenses including the new silicone-based disposables, Synergeyes Hybrid Contact Lens, multifocal options, monovision, gas-permeable, asigmatism (toric) and keratoconus. Dr. Shermetaro has trained with many of the specialists at Henry Ford Hospital Eye Care Service over the past 18 years before opening his office at St. Clair Eye.

Dr. Shermetaro and his family reside in Shelby Township. He takes great pride and satisfaction in serving the eye care needs of Shelby Township and the surrounding communities of Macomb County.
